In order for a shoe to last over time, it is essential to take care of it constantly, here are some tips on how to do it:
1. A new pair of shoes should be worn gradually, starting with a few hours a day, so that the foot gets used to the new shape and the new bottom of the shoe.
2. Shoes need rest, the same pair should never be worn for two consecutive days. This is necessary to dry the moisture and sweat of the foot.
3. To insert a shoe, of any type, it is good to always use a SHOE SOCK to not deform the buttress (the leather reinforcement placed in the heel between the lining and the upper).
4. When, on the other hand, the shoes are removed, a wooden SHOE TENSIONER should always be inserted inside to help dry and iron the creases. In the case of wet shoes, it is very important to let them air dry and NEVER bring them closer to sources of heat, otherwise you risk damaging them!
5. Shoes must always be cleaned after each use. In case of leather shoes, with a soft brush in natural bristles, to remove the dust, then pass a small amount of polish, using a soft and clean cloth. (Depending on the leather, different transparencies should be used). In the case of suede shoes, with a brush with rubber bristles, to remove the dust, then spray the chamois which is a reviving spray specific for this type of leather.
6. Avoid storing your shoes in the cardboard box until they are perfectly dry and never use plastic bags to allow the passage of air.
